Baby Lists by Elaine Farber
What to do and What to Get to Prepare for Baby
$14.95
With a zillion and one books out there about pregnancy, motherhood and what to expect, this book by Elaine Farber stands out of the crowd. This is my second pregnancy so I skipped the “What to expect when your Expecting” and the “Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy” after all I have been through it before and I read through them the first time.
Even when I was given the opportunity to review this book, I was sure I already knew all I needed, until it was time to start planning for my new baby’s arrival. I suddenly realized I had forgotten so much, what I really needed to take to the hospital, what I needed for a newborn, and even what I needed to have in my birthing plan. Of course my old plan was no where to be found so I was left dumbfounded.
That is until I picked up Elaine Farber’s book, “Baby Lists – What to do and What to Get to Prepare for Baby”. This book contains hundreds of list to get ready for baby! Not sure what to pack for the hospital, Farber has a list for that. Not sure how many onesies, blankets, and burp cloths to buy, there is a list to help you to decide. Not sure what to ask when interviewing a nanny, she has a list to help you get started.
I found the book especially useful when it was time to write my own birthing plan, without Farber’s list I would have left out so many details. Her list about what to pack for the hospital helped me tremendously. Two years ago when we went to the hospital to deliver my daughter the nurses laughed about how big my bag was. This time around I have a small overnight bag packed with just the necessities.
Here are some other helpful lists you will find in this book:
* Buying and packing a diaper bag
* Products for nursing mothers
* Traveling accessories
* Daily feeding schedule sheet
* Baby Gear
There is even a parenting library at the end listing other helpful books and resources to help you through the journey of parenthood.
